Date: 28th January 2025 PCMG is proud to announce that Dorte Pedersen will represent the Pharmaceutical Contract Management Group (PCMG) at EUCROF25, where she will present in the session titled “Successful Outsourcing Underpins Successful Clinical Trials.” EUCROF25 is the 2025 Annual Conference of the European Clinical Research Federation, taking place in Copenhagen from 2–4 February. The conference brings together key stakeholders in clinical research, including pharma, biotech, CROs, regulators, service providers, and patient groups, to explore the opportunities and challenges facing clinical research in Europe. Outsourcing is a critical strategy for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, with the market valued at $46.2 billion in 2023 and projected to grow at 6.9% annually to reach $83.5 billion by 2033. Despite its importance, only around 50% of clinical trials are delivered on time and within budget. In her session, Dorte will share her top three tips for achieving success in outsourced clinical trials, setting the stage for a panel discussion with industry experts. As a unique, member-led organisation, PCMG has been at the forefront of identifying and advocating for best practices in clinical trial outsourcing since 1994. During her presentation, Dorte will also highlight how PCMG has evolved to support Sponsor companies in navigating the changing outsourcing landscape. Collaboration with Service Providers and CROs remains central to PCMG’s mission, with an emphasis on building trusting partnerships to tackle industry challenges effectively. About Dorte Pedersen Previously, Dorte served as Senior Category Manager at H. Lundbeck for more than 27 years, where she developed and implemented the company’s outsourcing strategy, coached a growing team of professionals, and managed a wide range of outsourcing challenges. Based in Copenhagen, Dorte is deeply engaged in solving the practical challenges of clinical outsourcing, leveraging her hands-on experience and strategic insight. Dorte is also a dedicated member of the PCMG Training Group, where she has played a key role in establishing the organisation’s training function. Her areas of expertise include Outsourcing Processes, Relationship Building, Performance Management, and Governance. A PCMG member since 2015, she has been a passionate advocate for best practices in clinical outsourcing.
